You can't find ladders like this at Home Depot.
Ambulance, with sirens and lights full blast, stuck in traffic.
UPS mini van.
What's up with these Skinny Pants? Slacks? Man leggings?
What is the worst job at Taipei 101? See next picture.......
Being in this scaffold, doing whatever it is they are doing up there. YIKES !!! Forget it !!!
In a country this far advanced technologically, the workers on the street still use brooms like this. Could it be that they work better than the fancy ones you buy factory-made?
No clue what's in it, but since it comes out of a Rubbermaid-like packing container, I'm guessing it's pretty good. LOL !!!!
Tough guys.............with man-bags...........
World Trade Dental Clinic and Capital Dental Clinic. Remember, this is government-run health care. These clinics are open late into the evening so that working people can come in and get taken care of. These pictures were taken after 8 pm and the clinics were still open. But these two looked a bit on the dodgy side. I wouldn't want to try them.
Of course, this could be the downside of government-run medical care.......this is the dentist, getting a little shut eye, before his next victim.....um....patient !!!!! After dinner, when we walked back past the same clinic, he was awake again......see next pictures.......
And you thought I was kidding about being able to watch the show right from the sidewalk !!!!! Of course the folks in the lobby get a better seat at the show than those on the street looking in.
It's like a train wreck.......you want to look away, but still you keep taking pictures...... Trust me, I walked away after this shot.
And just when you thought it couldn't get any worse than an open-to-the-street view of dental work, you can also watch veterinary exams as a passerby. This is a veterinary clinic, open late into the night. The exam room is right up front so you can see the whole freak show, and if that isn't bad enough, there are two surgical suites just behind this exam room. When we walked by it the first time, there were no patients, but on the way back, a big dog was on the exam table waiting to be seen. There is a limit to what I will watch and the line is drawn there. I was outta there !!!!!
And after all this craziness, I still love Taiwan. I think it is my favorite big city in the world. I'm going to miss it here. I've missed it for the almost 4 years it has been since we were here first. Even David says he is going to miss it !!!!!
