More Photos from Taiwan

This could be under the questionable foods post, but since there are so many questionable foods here, one post just isn't enough. This is a sign in a local Starbucks. I'm not sure these flavors would make it big in the States: Green Tea Red Bean Frappuccino and Hojicha Ear Grey Tea Jelly Frappuccino..........yuk...... 7/8/2012

Scooter Cop doesn't have the same ring to it that Motorcycle Cop has, but nevertheless, this is what a lot of the cops are driving in Taipei City. 7/8/2012

A female street cleaner in Taiwan. Notice the handmade broom? Handmade brooms are the norm around here. And, the streets are SO clean !!!! 7/7/2012

This guy has nerves of steel. Look at all the tanks he is carrying on this little scooter/motorcycle. Seriously? I've seen people in Key West get pulled over by the cops for carrying a fishing pole on their scooter. What would they do with this guy? LOL. 7/8/2012

Olivia in our hotel, the Pacific Business Center. 7/7/2012

A man pushing recyclables down the road. This is how some people eek out a living here. On his 4 wheel cart was flattened out cardboard boxes, plastic, glass bottles and aluminum cans. You see this kind of thing a lot here. Sometimes these big loads are on bikes, scooters, or being pushed along like this, by hand. 7/8/2012

Teeny tiny delivery truck. Most industrial/delivery/commercial vehicles are small like this one. 7/8/2012

Fresh peaches......but they are flat, not round like a traditional peach. 7/7/2012

Storefront eatery on busy Guangfu S. Road. The black tiles in the bottom right of picture are the tiles in the actual sidewalk. 7/8/2012

Buffet-style, pay by the kilo, storefront restaurant. This picture was taken from the sidewalk looking in the roll-up, garage type door that stays totally up and wide open during business hours. 7/8/2012

This picture was taken at street level. It's an underground KFC. As much as there is going on above ground, there is a whole new world underground. 7/8/2012

And around here, KFC delivers !!!! So does McDonalds. Awesome !!! 7/8/2012

A real live tailor who makes handmade designer suits. He was in there sewing away, and those are the bolts of fabric against the back wall. Very cool !!!!! 7/8/2012

Our hotel, Pacific Business Center, from a distance. What a superb hotel. We highly recommend it to anyone who plans on traveling in the future. The Agora was closed down for repairs and Caeser Park was booked, so David picked this one and it is amazing. 7/7/2012

  3. Those are donut peaches, we have them here in Texas. Try some next time you see them. And if you see a street vendor selling fresh pineapple...GET IT! It's the best most sweetest pineapple we've EVER had!
