Mommy, Olivia and Kendall in front of an awesome, gigantic bonsai type tree. It was some type of pine, but trimmed into a bonsai shape. 7/10/2012
Two dudes. No seriously, this was a sight. We were headed back to the hotel from Chung Yi and this was just one of a million identical looking restaurants (and I am using the word 'restaurant' VERY loosely) along the road. The guy sitting down on the left was swatting flies like crazy off of whatever this red looking mush was in front of him. He was swatting them with a flyswatter of sorts, but it was really just a branch snapped off a bush or tree. So..........there is no telling what the flies wanted to eat, but it had to be gross. 7/10/2012

Scram, it's the heat !!!! Here in Taiwan, the police drive around with their lights flashing, even when they're not chasing down someone. This copper was pulling into a gas station, where fuel is about $1.00 per gallon. Although it is sold in liters, I prefer their prices to ours !! 7/10/2012

The Presidential Office Building in Taiwan where the President works. Unlike the White House that doubles as a house and office, President Ma, Ying-Jeou doesn't live in his office. He lives down the road in another historic building. 7/11/2012
A scooter free-for-all at an intersection last night. According to one newspaper in Taipei, more than 50% of all traffic fatalities in the city involved scooters. You could absolutely believe it if you saw the insanity. In 2009, there were 650,000 tickets issued to scooter drivers. That is almost 1,800 ticket a day in just one city, to just scooter drivers!!! Of course this city alone has almost 7 million people in it !! 7/11/2012
Here is a video of the light turning green at one intersection. OMG !!! 7/11/2012
